Our Story

The story began with an aroma from the bakery. A momentary pleasure indeed, but this ended up stopping a child passing by. This invoked a lifetime fascination of fragrances, fuelled by mall perfume samples and home-made attar sessions, which over decades evolved into Fraganta.

At Fraganta, we believe in the power of scents. How it can transport you to a place, and time, that feels familiar and close . How it can create a home in a cozy corner of your heart, no matter where in the world you reach on your endeavours.

Our journey is inspired by India’s deeply rooted yet often forgotten relationship with scent. From sandalwood to saffron, from temple ittars to jasmine-laced courtyards, fragrance has always been part of who we are. Thus Fraganta made it its mission to awaken India’s forgotten olfactory legacy, one story-soaked scent at a time.

In doing so, we envision the reintroduction of India to the world, not through words, but through scent.

We craft our perfumes in conceptual pairs that reflect the deeply personal bonds found across India. Connections of soul, seen every day in our streets, homes, and rituals, and recognised universally.
